a. The author is trying to capture the readers attention, because connie is home alone and the two guys drive up to her place and they had met with one another at the restuarant and he started addressing her by her name but she did not remember him.

b. Her character is kind of reversed through out the story when her dad's friend takes the girls to the shopping plaza they sneak and go to a drive in restaurant where older boys hang out . she goes out with these random guy who she barely knows , she sees arnold friend watching her and he says" gonna get ya baby"it's as if she drawing attention to the boys. i presume that she is asking for trouble and her behavior is eratic because the guy tells her he is going to do stuff to her.

d.the story appeals to many people because it draws attention to the readers in that connie is at home alone and two guys visit her which is kind of red flag for the readers.

e.at the end of the story connie passes out and she gets up and goes along with the two boys and i think she had feelings for arnold.
